It's 21:00, 24th of July, We are on our way to Holland. We were very excited because of our tour and a football match between Portugal and England. When we knew that Portugal is a winner...we had an occasion to make first party. Next day afternoon we were in Biddinguizen, were we had to stay for Zomerfestival, were fans of folklor are practicing dances from all over the world.
Than first dinner in Holland and first concerts. For the first hour we were singing, Than first real performance...we were dancing Beskid, and of course next Success!!! :). There was an encoreand we were singing Holland song. The public enjoyed it very much :). after concerts we were watching footbal matches...or preparing for the parties :). The worst day was when after rthe concert we came back to our room, we realized the that someone has stole our things...it was cameras, passports, jewelry, credit cards. We didn't recovered stolen things...but at the last concert during the Zomerfestival, public made gathering...After the sapper the festival Director came to us with a bag full of money...Those money covered cost of stolen things
Sunday was the last day of Zomerfestival. So next day we decided to visit Amsterdam. It was an express tour"This is here, this is there, go on go on..."We spent few hours visiting the city. In Holland everything is possible, even 35 person group can disappear in one second. Marcin knows something about it....He was lost but he was lucky because, we've found him after few hours. After tour we had a sapper and later we had to regenerate. Next day we gone to visit Fun Fair called "Six Flags". We spent there few hours on running from one roller coaster to next one. After entertainment we had to take our bags and move to second festival.
After few hours we entered Warffum, where was International Folk Festival "Op - Rokaldais". We stayed with our host Families in Rodeschool near Warffum. Tuesday was the first day of concerts....in schools. After performaces we had some fun with pupils. Later we gone to visit beach. I must say it was different that tghose I've seen before...sea, windmills and conrete :)
Afternoon we had a concert, where public was only women...Gentelmens were in next tent where was big Tv...they were watching their National Football team which was playing in quarter finals of European Championships
At the festival we met a lot of groups from other countries...China, Indonesia, Brasil, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Easter Islands, Georgia, Russia, Italy, Netherlands, Greece and of course Poland. We've met our frineds from Brasil....(they were our guests 3 years ago) Most attractive groups were Russia and Georgia.
Next day we spent with our families to Groningen. All day shopping and touring around the city. We have visit beautiful rose garden and many others things. We also tries special Netherlands fish....mhhh
At the weekend after performances we had some free time and parties where every group were teaching their national dances. We were trying to teach Waltz and a game with handkerchief. Girls from our group forgot about us....they were learning dances from Easter Islands....:)
On Saturday between concerts we moved to see windmill. It's impossible to be in Holland and have no occasion to see it. Of course day without concert is a bad day...so we had to go back. As our tradition says we had to do something funny during the last concert. Because of Jury we couldn't have so much fun as always, but we painted our cheeks. On left one we had Holland flag on other Polish flag. everyone was painted even our chief and our band. That as a great concert for us and for the public. Later we had last party in Holland with our host families...moment we all hate. moment we had to say goodbye. Anyway...we had to go back home...In the bus we had some competitions with rewards...Monday we woke up....in Poland. It was the end of us...as conquerors of Netherlands
